Aloha,

I am sure you have heard by now of the devastating wild fires that swept through the island of Maui.  It is heart-breaking.

At last count, as of August 16th, there were 106 bodies found in the aftermath of the destruction of Lahainatown and the surrounding areas with over 1000 still missing and unaccounted for.

Understandably the locals, local and state government, as well as volunteers from around the country are overwhelmed with what they are seeing.  National organizations like the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross are trying to help the best they can.  The president has sent federal relief money to Hawaii to help, on a grand scale it is needed but there are more immediate, personal needs those affected by the fire have.

Local Ohana on the rest of Maui and other islands are on hand doing the best they possibly can to help take up the slack the government agencies are leaving behind.  This is where you can help.  If you live on another island or on the mainland you can be a blessing to those in need.

We have been in contact with four pastors/ministries we are closely associated with on the island of Maui.  We have gotten their information (with permission) to share with you, our partners and friends.  You do not have to donate to all four, let the Holy Spirit lead you to whom you wish to bless.  We can personally attest these are legit and will get the finances to where it is needed most.  The main thing is to be obedient to what God speaks to you in this time of tragedy and need.
